The recipe is worth trying out--especially if you like blue cheese. And I'm intrigued by the pepper comment, Grapelesstraveled. I didn't get much pepper, but the wine you tasted sounds very interesting.Dr. Debshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02892131332003571463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053780638267491912.post-22885076599244996722008-01-14T18:59:00.000-08:002008-01-14T18:59:00.000-08:00I was lucky enough to attend a Zweigelt and Gruner...I was lucky enough to attend a Zweigelt and Gruner Veltliner tasting a few years back. It was really rather remarkable.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053780638267491912.post-59219841738656389322008-01-14T15:53:00.000-08:002008-01-14T15:53:00.000-08:00You have a great blog, I hadn't heard of Zweigelt ...You have a great blog, I hadn't heard of Zweigelt so thank you for increasing my awareness. I really like your food pairings, too, and we will definitely try the pork tenderloin & polenta recipe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053780638267491912.post-65253860655029573832008-01-14T09:09:00.000-08:002008-01-14T09:09:00.000-08:00I have had a few Zweigelts and enjoyed all of them...I have had a few Zweigelts and enjoyed all of them. I agree it is similar in some respects to Pinot, but with a tinge of its own uniqueness. I really like the 2003Salzl, Zweigelt Barrique, Austria ($11.99)Richard Auffreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03948647697847819742noreply@blogger.com
